A higher education institution founded on Christian faith and led by president Mark Olson, the John Leland Center for Theological Studies has its main campus in Arlington, Virginia. Dr. Mark Olson and the faculty of the John Leland Center are proud to offer a number of graduate programs, including the Master of Christian Leadership (MCL).
The MCL program prepares individuals for leadership roles in specialized ministries, such as positions in the church staff, in nonprofit organizations, and in parachurch entities. The program is also for those who wish to examine the relationship of their faith and career through a theological education.
Studies include Ministry & Leadership Formation, with subjects on Biblical Models of Leadership and Modern Theories of Leadership; and Biblical Studies, with subjects on Old and New Testament Interpretations. Spiritual growth is an integral aspect of the program, which may be completed in two to three years full-time or three to four years part-time.
